Ayla R. Preston, DVM, MS

Dr. Ayla Preston was born and raised in Tucson, AZ, and is a 2010 graduate of the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Her advanced training includes rotating and specialty internships, followed by a small animal emergency and critical care residency at Colorado State University, where she also completed her MS degree. She then became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. She has proudly served as ER/ICU Director and Department Head at Four Seasons since joining in 2015 and is passionate about leading this talented group. In addition, Dr. Preston has interests in CPR, acute kidney injury, fluid therapy, polytrauma, and postoperative critical care. She currently serves as chair of a committee within the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care that helps train emergency and critical care residents across the country. Outside of work, Dr. Preston enjoys all things home and family. She and her husband are the proud parents of two beautiful (and very active) girls and a Golden Retriever.
