Marta Karn, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Cardiology)

There is something incredibly rewarding about diagnosing complex cardiac disease, tailoring a treatment plan, and seeing a patient thrive. The blend of challenges and successes—along with the sometimes heartbreaking yet ultimately meaningful nature of this work—motivated me to pursue veterinary cardiology. I completed veterinary school at Colorado State University and went on to pursue additional specialized training, honing my expertise in managing a wide range of cardiac conditions. I completed internships at Petcardia Veterinary Cardiology and North Carolina State University before returning to my alma mater for my cardiology residency, which I completed in July 2025.

My passion lies in working closely with families to develop the best possible treatment plans for their pets. I have a particular interest in congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, and emergency cardiac case management. Beyond diagnosing and treating heart disease, I strive to be a source of support for my clients, helping them navigate the challenges of cardiac conditions with clear communication and compassionate care. I also love educating pet owners about the complexities of heart disease, ensuring they feel informed and confident in their pet’s care.

Outside of work, I cherish time with my husband, our three children, and our two dogs. We love exploring the Colorado outdoors and spend many weekends on the soccer field. When we’re not outside, we enjoy playing Super Mario Party as a family and competing in our weekly Sunday trivia game—where the winner gets to pick dinner. Whether we’re hiking, playing, or just spending time together, family is at the heart of everything I do.

I am thrilled to be joining Four Seasons Veterinary Specialists and look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to provide the highest quality of care for our patients!
