Nicole Vumbaco, DVM

   Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Nicole Vumbaco received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2011. During her tenure at CSU she developed a strong interest in emergency medicine. After which, Dr. Vumbaco pursued a rotating internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver. This rigorous internship focused on further clinical advancements in internal medicine, emergency, critical care and surgery. After completion, she pursued emergency veterinary medicine within the northern Colorado region.

Dr. Vumbaco grew up on the east coast, but her family moved around quite often igniting a lifelong interest in travel.  She received her BS degree in Exercise Science and Physiology from Florida State University in 2006.

Currently, her immediate family is bi-coastal but home base tends to be Tampa, FL., and while she misses the ocean, the Colorado Rockies are a great alternative.  She has a 17-year-old Snowshoe Siamese named “Kitty” and an eight-year-old Domestic Long Hair named “Cat.”  Nicole has a strong passion for serving and enjoys community involvement like volunteering with Rural Area Vet Services, Fall Clean Up and other community-based service organizations. On her off time she loves traveling, spending time with her family and friends, concerts, photography, FSU football and being outdoors.

Professionally, she puts an emphasis on progressive and integrative practice. Her additional interests include pain management, trauma/surgery, field services, and critical care. Dr. Vumbaco is very excited to team up with Four Seasons and happy to continue to call Fort Collins home.
