End of Life Care & Pet Loss Resources
End-of-Life Care & Pet Loss Support
Losing a beloved pet can be one of the most challenging experiences a pet parent/owner can face. Just as we provide our pets with love and care throughout their lives, we are also responsible for trying to ensure their final days are as peaceful and comfortable as possible.
Four Seasons offers compassionate end-of-life care and is here to support you through these decisions. Our Leader of Wellness and Culture is available to help guide you through this process, offering support and assistance as you navigate end-of-life decisions for your pet.
In addition to Four Seasons’ in-hospital services, we’d also like to make you aware of some trusted resources for at-home hospice care and euthanasia services.

Palliative & Hospice Care
As pets age and/or develop chronic illnesses, their care needs can often change. Many therapies are available to help address these evolving needs and to keep your pets comfortable. Some options are:
- Pain management
- Massage therapy
- Acupuncture & laser therapy
- Mobility aids (portable stairs, ramps, toe grips, non-slip mats)
Support during this natural aging process can be a complimentary care option for pet parents/owners and their pets. Speaking with your family veterinarian or treating veterinarian at Four Seasons about palliative care options to possibly ease your pet’s discomfort is one option.
Additionally, some local veterinarians provide in-home hospice care to also ensure your pet remains comfortable, whether they experience a natural passing or a planned humane euthanasia.
At-Home Euthanasia & Hospice Care Services
For families who prefer in-home end-of-life care, the following trusted providers offer at-home euthanasia and hospice services in Northern Colorado and surrounding areas:
