Laura Halpin, BVetMed MRCVS

EMERGENCY VETERINARIAN
HOSPITAL MEDICAL COORDINATOR

Dr. Laura Halpin is a 2008 graduate of the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, England. Preceding her graduation, she was offered two equine internships focusing on neonatal equine care; however, she chose to follow her passion for small animal medicine instead.  Following graduation, she moved to Florida and worked in general practice for 18 months before moving to Colorado in 2010. During her tenure, Laura has worked in both general and emergency practice in the Front Range and Summit County areas, but she has had a concentration in ER medicine for the past few years. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, and a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Laura is originally from Wales, but she grew up in Britain, Dubai, and the United States and is now pleased to call Fort Collins home. She enjoys many seasonal outdoor adventures, including skiing, hiking, golf, soccer, and tennis, and she hiked her first 14er in 2014!   Whenever possible, she also loves to travel.  Laura has an eight-year-old Goldendoodle called Lucy, who also enjoys being a Certified Pet Therapy dog for Poudre Valley Hospital.
